Look what's popped up in my yard! I really don't know what this is called. I am assuming it is a weed of some sort but GOLLY MISS MOLLY it sure is beautiful!
Looks like some kind of sunflower variety to me. Maybe a bird or something had it in it's droppings when it flew over. I have seen things like that pop up in odd places and I do believe it is from bird droppings.
Yes, definitely a sunflower, is your bird feeder close by? What a lovely surprise to pop up and greet you! Did you know that sunflowers always point their "faces" towards the rising sun?
That sure is pretty! I love weeds when they have pretty flowers. I pull them out of the roadside sometimes and plant them on our hill, lol....Christine

ReplyDeleteIt looks like Rosinweed, which is a perennial plant that grows 3-5' tall. :0)
ReplyDeleteKim is correct bird droppings...birds do that often with holly hocks my mom tells me....what a pretty flower though:)
