Yes, I"m "AT HOME" now too!

Hey all!  Here's just a little quickie post to let you all know that while I am quite literally not working outside of the home right now I have decided to work a little business called;
Why?

Quite simply because of deals like this!

On Sale now for $9.99

On Sale now for only $11.49

On Sale now for only $24.99

On Sale now for only $11.49

Every week we offer Flash sales that are loaded with fantastic discounts on home decor. Additionally, we have a huge selection of beautiful home decor that is available to be shipped directly to you from our warehouse.

Here's my story;
I have been watching this company through a pinner on Pinterest for some time now.  Click here to see her link.  Meg runs her business primarily through Facebook and Pinterest.  I first noticed her on Pinterest and then friended her page on Facebook too.  I have never purchased from her because as a manager of a home decor dept in a major retail store my temptations had to be limited.  LOL!  After finding myself at home again and no longer working I could'nt help but take a closer look at her offers.  I decided to click the link on her website to find out a little more on this company.  Imagine my surprise that I could sign up to sell these products myself without having to invest anything at all up front.  I was thrilled and signed up immediately!

If you've followed my blog for awhile now, you know I have been in the direct sales business before and am very familiar with it.  I stopped that particular business after going back to work because it required home party sales which I did not have time for and quite simply renewal fees as well.

Ah! At home, does not require home party sales and actually started out as an online internet sales company only.  It has just recently begun to offer catalog sales through home parties as well.  The option to sell either way is currently totally up to you the consultant.  That is what sold me! I want to pursue the online sales only at this time and am so excited to get things started.   If you like what you see here and want to see more please consider joining one of the following pages links.  I created a Facebook page and a Pinterest page specifically for updates on sales from my website which you can join here;
or

Please be sure and join as a FRIEND as I'm not sure if you will still get the updates if you only LIKE the page.  I've so much to learn about operating on Facebook.  LOL! Any help on that would be greatly appreciated.

My website to order these great bargains is here;

This is where you can place your orders in my shopping cart and order securely with all items being directly shipped to you.  Please take a minute to browse around as often as you like.  There are so many additional sales you will want to check it out often to get more items like these.

This pic was created by my mentor, Meg, to show what you could buy from us at Ah, at home, to match the inspiration picture in the center.  Pretty cool idea huh?  I thought so too!

If you would also like to sell home decor with Ah, at home please consider going to the link at the bottom of my site listed as Join at Home and become part of our team.  I would love to build a team with you as well.  If you know you like this idea immediately here's a quick link now;

I know I've seen several other bloggers who sell Ah, at home too.  I can certainly see why because the products and the bargains are amazing!  I'm pretty excited about this new adventure and hope it's one I can continue should I go back to work part time somewhere when I choose too.

Well, thanks for stopping by, it's always so nice to hear from those who do.
Be sure and friend my FB page now too okay?

Have a great day everyone!

Making Memories of US

One of the best things about not having a full time job is definitely having more time to do the things I love.   I have already been doing quite a bit of catching up on things I love to do these last few weeks.  Things like working in the yard, planting flowers, organizing and cleaning the clutter away, planning projects and planning trips.

 Time to travel in our new to us camper is first on my list!

  We are getting closer to taking our first trip in just a few weeks and I can hardly wait.  I have been very busy making sure we have everything in order for our first trip.  Of all the things I've been getting together, one of those prep ideas included artwork for the wall behind the settee.  We creative types are somewhat picky about decorating our spaces right?  LOL!

   I really wanted to find something that spoke to me.  You know, something with words.  However, after searching high and low for just the right saying, I just could not find what I wanted.  I found lot's of signs that were very close, like the right colors, or fonts, the right weight or size but still just not quite what I had in mind.  After feeling satisfied I had exhausted all the best local places to find my sign I decided I was just going to have to make my own.  I am still having to remind myself that I actually have time to start and complete projects now days. It's a very good thing!

I decided I would use canvas because it is so light weight and that is very important in a camper.  I was pleased as punch to find just the right size I wanted too!

I painted my canvas with some leftover sample paint that I purchased last year when I thought I might want to paint my den this color.  That, by the way never happened.

Then because I was multitasking all day I brought my canvas back downstairs. Once I was in the kitchen and near the printer in hubby's office, I started playing with what I wanted it to say.

I typed out several different fonts and sizes using Word.  I also downloaded a free graphic from The Graphics Fairy.  I wanted something very scrolly to go in the corners and this design was perfect for me.

This is how I transferred my designs and my words onto my canvas.

I used transfer paper and taped my printout over it, then traced them onto the canvas.  After getting my designs transferred, I simply painted them in by hand.  Could not have been any easier!

The hardest part was decided exactly what I wanted my sign to say.  I knew I wanted it to say something about a Getaway Cottage but was lost after that.  Then I thought about what all of our camping trips have meant and the words "making memories" came to mind.  So, I googled those words and found the title to Keith Urban's song and knew I just had to use it.  Pretty sweet huh?  I'll include a link for that at the bottom of this post.

Here's my sign all finished and waiting to go in the camper.  I was thinking of putting a glaze over it but decided not to go that route after all.

I used a few of those adhesive strips with velcro (that you can remove easily) on the back to secure it to the wall

And Wah laah!  We now have something customized just for us to look at while dining and camping.

Thanks so much for dropping by!
Hope your having a wonderful day!

My Woodsy Christmas Den Decor

Hi All!  Long time no see huh?  I'm sure most of you don't need me to explain how hectic things are this time of year so I will skip all the chit chat and just show you a little of what I have been able to get decorated for the holidays so far.  Okay?

Okay!!! The den is done!  Whew!  It's pretty much the same as last years theme, only I added and omitted just a few things.

For example, I went with a natural looking topper this year by adding bunch's of willow to the bow and berry's.   I think I will eventually put my copper star trio back up too if I can do so without destroying what is already there.  LOL!

I actually left off several ornaments this year if you can believe that.  The newest two additions were the deco mesh which I cut in strips across and tied on in knots for a more rustic look.  Then, the addition that I like the most is the willow garland.  Why haven't I thought of this sooner?  I love it!

On the mantle it's very similar to last years set up again but with new garland.  I bought two on sale from Michael's this year.  One is strictly greenery with a snowy looking cedar and pine and the other has the berries and pine cones with greenery. I also added a few branches of willow here too.

My pine cone candles came out again.  Of course, I just had to add a little bling bling as well with the beaded candlesticks.

Do you remember the reindeer I purchased last year from work?

I just love these guys!  They are why I have stayed with this very woodsy theme.

The lantern on the table moved across the room to new location for the holidays and received a woodsy look as well.

Hello Mr. Claus!

Can you tell I went a little crazy adding the willow everywhere?  I love it!

I also love the view from my favorite chair where I use my laptop in the evenings or daytime depending on when I am home.

Last but now least, the stockings are hung by the chimney with care, in hopes....

Speaking of hoping, I surely do hope you enjoyed this little peek at my holiday decor in the den again this year.

If you liked that be sure and come back tomorrow okay because I'll be showing you the kitchen next. The holidays are my favorite time of the year for pulling out all the decorations.  It's when I have the most to share.  I've gotten so many ideas from most of you and am truly grateful for that.  Thanks so much!

And thank you so much for stopping by!
I really appreciate hearing from you.
Have a great day everyone!

Welcome to Our Living Room

Hello!  It's Take a Look Tuesday here at The Decorative Dreamer and I've decided to show you my entire living room.  It's been awhile since I've done a whole room post and realized all of those were "only" on my other blog, Sailing Simply.

I just love visiting someone's blog and seeing links on their side bar taking you through different rooms of their homes.  It's one of the things I love the most about blogging and it immediately let's me know if that is blogger who's style I really like and may want to follow.

  So, with that in mind I've decided to do a few posts of my home and will be adding them to my sidebar too.  I can't really say how I would describe my style.  I have lot's of furniture that is older inherited pieces mixed in with a few thrifty finds right along with a few newer and more modern pieces as well.  It's quite a mix but I love it and it makes me feel very cozy and nostalgic at times too. I also wanted to post this because it's a more updated look from my previous den post and it features my summer look which will be changing very soon as the fall decor comes out.

Since this post is laden with pictures, I will cut the chit chat right here.  I've included close ups of a few of my favorite things in this room with the exception of the personal pictures.  My kids don't enjoy me posting their pics (especially up close) but they are by far among the things I "love" to see the most in this room!  I am having quite a few issues with my camera not focusing well.  I hope you will please overlook the very poor photography as I hope to resolve the camera issues as soon as possible.

Okay, so let's go into the den now...Oops!  Shhhhh!!! Ok, no more chit chat, I promise!

And that's a wrap!

I hope you enjoyed the tour.  Thanks for visiting with me today!
Have a great day!
