When I lived in California there was a thrift store that had some sort of deal set up with Target and Pier One where unsold merchandise was donated for the charity they sold for. I used to get the most amazing deals on new merchandise. I still wear a jacket I bought there about 15 years ago for $3.00. I remember the price because I used to always get compliments on it and I would brag about the price, lol.

You know I LOVE that bamboo style frame!Shellbellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14836629045327379085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5825561844621682643.post-11348713519213980832011-01-20T23:43:08.284-05:002011-01-20T23:43:08.284-05:00I love that sweater and shirt, what a deal! Can't wait to see what you do with it.

The sugar and creamer are very cute. I have had china turn grey after washing it, and then it turns white again after it dries. Generally that indicates a flaw with the glaze which means that water is slipping under it. If it stops being grey after you wash it and it dries for a bit, then that might be the case. I have noticed this on some products I've bought that are new. But I have seen it on older dishes, too. Hope that helps. I can't tell from the pictures, but I am guessing from what I can see that the set might be porcelain???

XO,

Sheila :-)The Quintessential Magpiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04010105595059019883noreply@blogger.com
