Yardly Pleasures

This is one of my favorite times of the year when everything comes alive around the yard.  The other night I was strolling through the yard looking at all the little interesting sights thinking about how I needed to get out my camera.  However, at the time in my hand was a glass of wine and the very real sense that I finally had time to just keep walking around gazing and enjoying the moment.

So gazing I continued to do!  This morning however, it is overcast with cooler temperatures and a chance of showers.   I decided to grab my camera and made my way outside to capture a few of these sights just for you.

Wow!  So sorry for all those pictures but as you can see things to blend together all over the place around here.  I have actually spared you several photos I took of the Iris's which are in bloom as well.  I will be back at another time with a post to feature them.

I hope you enjoyed your visit strolling around my yard today.  It is one of my favorite things to do!
I am joining the following parties today;

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  1. Beautiful! Your roses are so pretty. Don't you just love looking out the window these days? I catch myself just staring...when I'm not actually outside.

  2. Love the coral colored clematis, and your roses. The ivy climbing up your staircase is awesome too. Thanks for visiting me and have a great day!

  3. This is so pretty, Mary. So pretty. I love the roses, but I'm a green girl at heart and can't resist ivy. My mother's yard used to be full of it, and I miss seeing it in profusion. Love how you have that swa trained up the stair in one of the first shots.

    It's raining her. And raining. And raining.

    XO,

  5. So pretty!!! I am so jealous as we had snow AGAIN today!!!! Your pictures are just lovely and yes, when you zoom in too close, it won't let you take it! You have to take a smidge step back! I hate when my camera does that! A macro lens can let you get super close and do the trick! My yard will be green again one day, but for now, I am going to enjoy yours!

  8. Your yard is a beautiful sanctuary. I'd spend time sauntering around it with a glass of wine in my hand, too. Cherry Kay
